I work for a large organization that makes everybody get their own ID cards. Mine is about three years old and I need a new one, so I go over to the place where we get new cards made. I talk to the receptionist for a minute, and she tells me that they don't do walk in's anymore, and that I now need to make an appointment, so I ask her if I can just make the appointment there. She says no, I have to call their phone number.

I just look at her. She gives me the phone number, and I walk around the corner to dial it in. Sure enough, I hear the phone on her desk ring, look over and see her on the phone with myself. Stupid bitch.

Tell her employer that and also add that her incompetence is a waste of company time and money.

Hopefully she'll get fired and then you can laugh at her.

I've had something like that happen to me recently. It's basically just something to provide an illusion of 'professionalism'
