OK, I got home from school last friday when my parents were away at work (I'm an 18yo senior.) I hear a loud knock on the door and these police men burst straight into my house. I was like WTF, what am I getting arrested for? But I wasn't getting arrested.. they told me I have 24 hours to leave my house. Excuse me? They then explained that the house is being foreclosed cause my parents couldn't make their mortgage payments.
FUCK!!!!! I have nowhere to stay now, damn it! At least take me to jail.. I'd have a roof over my head.

I've actually got a bit of a disaster story :P
I was updating an old Gigabyte Pentium 4 motherboard, can't remember the exact model but it was based on the 865G chipset. I used gigabyte's windows bios updater to update it to a new version because of cpu support for a cpu I was installing. Update went fine but there were a few 'kernel' errors brought up by the program. 'No worries' I thought and continued to reboot the system...
As it turned out, the bios update went fine...but the whole filesystem was wiped! No windows, no NTFS, no nothing! A suse liveCD confirmed that the drive was 'blank'
Luckily I was able to recover the data with a friend's version of GetDataBack, I haven't used Gigabyte's windows updaters since, only used their USB updater through the BIOS.
But that said, I've used windows bios updaters for my laptop, MSI motherboards and other brands...I just stay away from gigabyte's windows updaters.
