Uh.. I'm guessing no.
Hey OP, I didn't know there was two femanons on /lounge/! I've got a story too, not as bad as yours but still. When I attended a co-workers wedding yesterday I didn't know anybody there except a few other co-workers who attended, only one guy being single and the rest couples. I naturally gravitated towards the single guy since I knew him best (he's on my immediate team at work and I see him everyday, whereas I see the others maybe on a weekly or monthly basis). It was more of a "hey there's someone I know, I'll sit with them" sorta thing.
Well he took it upon himself to keep pushing me away for some reason, like as though I was hitting on the asshole or something. After the ceremony we were supposed to go to the reception at another location, so I was awkwardly standing around with the group, and he was like "what are you still waiting around for? why don't you go ahead...I'll see you at the reception".
So I get to the reception late and see the small group there...and I sit next to another co-worker's wife since we're all supposed to have one table. Someone says it's taken, so I go to the other open end, which just happened to be the single guy. He's like "It's taken by someone else. We searched and couldn't find our table so we just sat in a random spot." So I was like "Where AM i supposed to sit then?" To which he just replied " I don't know....but why do you have to sit right HERE? Why can't you sit at another table?" and he pointed me to a half empty table where some old ladies were sitting.
I just left the wedding gift at the table and walked out without a goodbye. Then was pissed that I didn't even get lunch and bought myself a McMeal for the 1-hour drive home. Then I was stewing about how I should show up with a date next time just to rub it in his face, but then realized not being able to get a date was why I was in this situation in the first place.
