Terrorists!!! ZOMG!!! Because they know that the best way to destroy our freedom is to start a few wildfires and burn down the entire state of California! Why else do you think there have been so many fires there recently?
This is what some stupid bitch was trying to convince me of this afternoon.
You know, despite the fact that wildfires are a natural part of the ecological cycle. And that every year in the US, over 4 million acres of land is hit by them (that's 0.2% of the *entire* US). And that California was overdue for some major fires considering their massive drought (Spring 2008 was the driest ever recorded for much of the state and 2007 wasn't much better). And of the few fires that actually were the result of arson, ALL have domestic pyromaniacs to blame, one of which was a 10 year old boy playing with matches. That said, though, the vast majority were obviously perfectly natural, mostly dry lightning or resulting from wind damage.
But what really pissed me off was that she then went on to imply that Obama was somehow responsible. That he was somehow secretly funding the fires as a political tool. That she wouldn't be surprised if some Californians tried to kill him for burning down their houses. WTF?
It was all I could do to keep from beating the bigoted shit out of her, so I just gave her a few blunt words and walked the fuck away. These ignorant, irrational and delusional retards are really starting to piss me off. It just seems like they get stupider every fucking day.
