Why am I voting for Barack Obama instead of a third party candidate? Because I feel that we don't have the margin that many other Americans may feel they do have. I do feel viscerally threatened by a McCain victory and I do fear for the nation in a very immediate way under those circumstances and I feel that a third party vote will make a very valuable point and certainly ease my inner conflicts but it is not FOR ME a responsible outcome in this historical moment terms of the care I need to take of my family. I do feel, as I wrote, that an Obama victory will buy time fora citizens' movement that can dismantle the whole damn corrupt stinking thing. You can take issue with that reasoning but it is mine.
But most of all I feel, apart from my immediate concerns, that it is still being stuck in a false paradigm to look at Barack Obama or even Ron Paul as the mark of allegiance that matters most. There is not going to be a knight on a white horse if the people don't take a lead in creating the revolution themselves. I believe even Ron Paul would want us to see that real salvation is only really going to come from within.
