Mom and dad whined about me respecting other people's religious beliefs "even online when anonymous". I am 29 and I could hardly care less when a) I'm frigging anonymous anyway and b) my dad is being an obnoxious Jewish nudnik. Happy Shavuot, everyone, and fuck the Torah. Shalom!

I showed this to my mom. She claimed that the First Amendment "doesn't protect as much as one thinks it does", and that an IP could be tracked back. She forgets that a) this sort of precision tracking is typically done mainly by gov'ts, b) this sort of precision tracking is thus done vs. people who have committed a crime, c)this is still protected speech under the First Amendment because this iconoclastic attitude is not "obscene under community standards" (if the government tries, the freethinkers will whine), and d) there is thus no reason to track this shit down via IP. e) I am obviously an American and f) I am therefore not in a Muslim country (my mom's "it's a crazy world out there" seems to refer to the attitude in those countries).

...and now she's softened her argument to... karma... yeah. I agree about karma. Karma is useful but it can make a mountain out of a molehill.

I would like to apologize to people and the Torah for being a bit moronic. Anyhow, happy Shavuot and.... um..... ever notice how when you try to respect religion it bites you back?

"track this shit down via IP"
Ever heard of a dynamic IP? Sure, you can contact the ISP to see which machine was using that gateway at the time, but it makes it more difficult. In closing, fuck you.
Dickbutt is very iconic. I could see people worshipping that, since it makes just about as much sense as worshipping an icon of a dead Jew bloodily nailed to a tree.
