I go to college, and have many friends that I hang out with very often both at and outside of school. Likewise, I have a number of good friends from high school, and, yes, actually get laong very well with many girls. Most of my friends are into similarly nerdy stuff (video games, anime, reading, movies, etc), but we are also very social and active, as well. We're probably the nerds that a lot of the more hated, stereotypically anti-social nerds either would like to be or utterly hate. Likewise, we go places and do things often, including trips to cons, concerts and the like, and just fun stuff like trips to NYC for a day, going to the movies, arcades, etc or just hanging around and playing games/wathcing movies/etc together. In short, I've actually managed to proudly maintain my geekiness and also have a good social life.
