It gives you are far more intense reward than most other habits do making it a lot harder to give up than, say, biting your nails. It is comparable to gambling and masturbation both of which can be extremely addictive for, as you said, people who are predisposed to addiction. Just because you're predisposed to addiction doesn't make the addiction less debilitating.

true enough. But it rubs me the wrong way when people make a blanket statement 'marijuana is addictive' when myself and many others can drop the habit on a moments notice. It CAN be addictive to some people, but I think that most people can quit cold turkey, as opposed to something like heroin, cigarettes, alcohol etc.

what does that even mean? they do it because they like it so much? or does "psychologically addicted" mean some kind of obsessive compulsive disorder, because to me, "psychologically addicted" is a weasely way to say, not addicted, but compulsively using, such as those who keep watching television hour after hour every day.
