Fuck. Help me with life.

Okay, I know the chances of getting serious replies and advice are slim here but i'll try anyway. After graduating with a major in English last year i've not been able to find a permanent job, and i'm just not doing well, financially. I live in a small town. Should I get a masters degree in something practical so I can get into investment banking or similar (even though my passion is writing)? Should I move to a big city and live paycheck to paycheck working shitkicker jobs while I figure out options? I don't really know what to do.

Why did you think you'd need a degree in order to write?  Do words glow visually or emit a particular frequency of radiation when written by a holder of a literate degree?
