Worst-case scenario for the economy?

What do you guys think is the worst-case scenario for the US Economy in the coming year or two?  Some say we're facing something far more severe than the Great Depression.  Will the US even exist as a nation 5 years from now under the gloomiest forecasts?  Or will we be forced to flee with all of our assets and bank accounts empty with no gov't left to bail us out?
