Facebook is a way for people too lazy to write a personal email or pick up a phone to conveniently spam everyone on their "friend" list as a token way of saying "hey I'm too lazy to call you but I'm still here!"

All these sites ARE dating sites, with the disguise of making "friends." I refuse to date anyone seriously who has a myspace. Humans carry enough emotional baggage as it is, and now there are many ways to let the world know all your fucking business. You can conveniently show anyone your ex's, people you tried to fuck, people who gave you std's and hot girls who accepted your friend request, but just to inflate their friend count.

If you want to make friends and keep in touch with friends, why not email? Why not call them? I love that excuse "I just use it to keep in touch with friends." More than half the people on your friends list are strangers or people you don't even talk to on a regular basis. It's just an attempt to boost your ego by giving the illusion that you're a social butterfly.

In actuality, a girls myspace friend list is dominated by guys who are trying, have tried or will try to get in their pants. Out of those guys, they will probably know less than half, at best! Majority of them will be older men who were just phishing for hot girls, dropping friend requests titled "Hey hottie."

The whole site makes me sick. I dated a girl on there, then broke up with her and she stalked my myspace for about a good month before I finally deleted it. She'd write me the stupidest shit saying "Oh, I see that new bitch that wrote that dumb comment on your page."

I'm not saying everyone on myspace is a cheater, but it places you in the position to be judged, mostly on just a head shot, head and ass shot, head and tits shot, abs shot...Just fucking stupid. It's all bullshit. It places you in a virtual bar scene. Sleezy people hitting on you because you showed your ass to the camera via some pimple stain mirror in your bathroom.

You want to keep in touch with real friends? Try a phone, or email.

I don't find them interesting.  I loathe following a link to myspace, because it takes a fucking hour to load and then locks my computer.  Also I don't have friends in the way I used to.  Like I'm going to post "hi guy" to the guy I know who is a plumber?
