I saw some Law and Order show lately, not having watched much besides the reruns that were on A&E. I thought the reruns were fine, and I like how the show didn't get into personal bullshit lives of the officers.
Now this show I saw lately, I have to comment. The detectives make snottty comments to anyone they talk to when doing an investigation. Shut the fuck up with your insulting commentary and just collect the information you dicks. The latest thing I recall is that a woman was remarking how honest some crook seemed at the time. A detective responding in a rather unfriendly tone, "that's why they call them con men". Fuck you. And besides, a real life woman would probably not understand what the hell he meant, that con is short for confidence, and even then the term needs some explanation. I bet most of the TV audience didn't know what the fuck either.
