The Room

What about an "escape the room" type of game, but instead of trying to escape the room, you just start out in a room, and try to figure out what it looks like without any clues what-so-ever? I'm doing this right now.

First there's the wallpaper: Why did the creator choose this pattern? Why the material? What sort of walls are they covering? What is beyond those walls? Can you see through the walls, at what's beyond them? This space I'm in, what is it made up of?

Now, if there would be a door in here, what would it look like? How does one open it? Where would it lead? What if it's locked? What is it made of?

What about furniture? What kind would they contain? What would they look like?

...and what about gravity? Why does gravity work in here?

This has taken me about a year, and I feel like I'm getting nowhere. I don't think I will ever be able to do this. I've drawn several maps of how this room could look like, and I'm currently writing a thorough manual on it, with things like "What if the wallpaper is blue? What would that signify about the wallpaperer?".

In before "It's full of bananas - I play Runescape".
