And now for a serious hypothetical discussion

A bill is introduced to restrict voting rights in America to only intelligent people.

I'm talking straight up IQ here. Say, only people with an IQ above 100, or 105 or 110, would be allowed to vote if this bill passes. You'd have to pass a test and get certified as a genuine intelligent human being before you're allowed to have a valid opinion about complicated shit.

Which side would benefit, and which side would try to throw everything in its path? Who would say "it's about time" and who would say "just because you're intelligent and educated doesn't mean you know things"?

"just because you're intelligent and educated doesn't mean you know things"

What kind of idiot would say that?

IQ is fail. being able to recognize geometric and numerical patterns doesn't mean you are able to choose the lesser of two evils. Instead before you can vote you should have to pass a test proving you know where the people you're voting for stand on all issues and proving that you understand the implications of these positions.

Hint: 100 is average. If people's intelligences increase, then the IQ is adjusted so that the average remains at 100. In other words, 100 is currently very low.

One would think the average IQ would increase considering the scientific breakthroughs we've had.

My IQ is 231, what's yours?

Average IQ will always be average by definition.

Of course, by definition.

Half the people in the country have below-average intelligence.

And so do the other half.

Then put that IQ to use and build Anon a rocket to Mars.

There are many supposedly smart crackpots out there.  Read about Leonard Sax or Ray Kurzweil for instance.  These guys seem to have accomplished things that require smartness, but have some fucking loony conclusions that they promote in their books.  The only other explanation is that they are faking it for the sake of provocativeness to get attention to sell more books.  Either way, they are cunts.
