Hi everyone.
I'm new here so, hopefully, you'll accept me. it's ok if you don't want to, I will understand.
I've been emo for a long time now, but I'm starting to have identity issues. Emo is about being emotional, and being individual in the mass produced, cookie cutter world we all live in. To stand out as some kind of color in the greyness you experience as soon as you walk outside.
But the colors are blurring, so much.
Everybody is Emo now, and we all look the same, where-as once there was the smallest of joys in having some individuality. Now? The same long black fringe, obscuring part of the face. The same clothing. The same way that we apply our eye make-up. The same shoes. The same piercings.
What have we become? Another fashion style for the world (ta) to laugh at?
I SHAVED MY HEAD TO BE AN INDIVIDUAL.
And, the other Emo's wouldn't accept me for who i was, only that I didn't fit the right look for "THEM"
I'm really upset about this.
How can we be Emo if we're a fashion trend? EVEN THE MUSIC HAS BECOME STALE.
