The future of *chan

What the hell is happening?! This is a problem not exclusive to 4chan, but to all chans. All of our memes, jokes, pasta, our way of life is being mainstream. From lolcats to Rickroll, our subsubculture is being depleted and becoming the subculture. And subculture sucks. It's filled with college kids who listen to indie rock and have sex with their iMacs all day. Is this what we want? We need to save the chans (and not by making a newer more obscure board). Doom is upon us.

why dont we do what 12chan did? password and username? most newfags dont know what/how to use IRC to get it. Moot could put a sticky in /b/ saying that there is going to be a username and pass implemented and to get it off 4chans irc.

thus, if this was done, alot of the newfags will leave.
