is there an easier way to get someone's e-mail password that's not phishing?

Try the following:


You: ********
Victim: lolwut
You: AIM censors your password if you type it
You: I just typed mine, and it come out in asteriks.
Victim: woah lemme try
Vivtim *if he/she is a dumbass, they will post password and it wont be censored.*

And yes, I have tried this. Sadly, it works.
