Caught a bit of the Tyne & Wear derby before, am watching Stuttgart v. Bayern and have been flicking to Derby County v. West Ham.
The Bundesliga is a better spectacle, no doubt about it (I'm not just talking about these matches, but what I have observed over the last month or so of watching matches from both leagues).
Other than a handfull of sides, the Premiership is actually quite mediocre.

PS - Stuttgart are leading 3-0 against Bayern at HT (Mario Gomez brace and a long range shot by Basturk).
