well being black it depends on who says it. when it comes up with friends its often something funny. when it happens with strangers, yeah a bit of anger kind of comes up. especially if its used in a deragatory way. its kinda worse when black people say it in a non joke way.
a while ago me and my girlfriend were walking down the street, and there was this black guy muttering a lot of things but the main word coming out was "nigga" over and over again. he was just walking down the street acting all thuggy and i just felt embarrassed just by being associated to this guy. just when i felt bad enough, randomly out of nowhere he comes up behind this lady with a dog and just kicks her leg from under her.
he trotted off but immediately the woman's boyfriend ran out of the store she was standing in front of and jumped him from behind. they scuffled until the black guy ran off. me and my girlfriend caught up to the woman to see if she was okay.
i know any race can be randomly violent but being randomly violent while muttering 'nigga nigga' and acting all thuggish is just acting out so many stereotypes that i just hurt. i would have felt just as bad if he threw a watermelon at the woman.
