I may have mentioned in a previous post, GAC's have happened today, and will continue until Thursday. Because of this, I've gotten home much later than Kayla today. Heck, I'd say I was home well after everyone else aside from my dad. He came to watch me swim. Either way, because of this, Kayla got home about 2 hours before I did, and the family had already finished eating supper. Even Jake was home, which was a little bit of a surprise. Either way, tonight was somewhat of a celebration of the night before Halloween. It wasn't a holiday or anything: it's just preparation for the real holiday. So first thing I had to do when I got home was carve my pumpkin. I made mine look like an emo kid, and then made a comment on how it'd have been better if it were a real emo kid, because it'd be able to cut itself. Kayla made hers look like that Sad mask that you see in plays. She tried to get me to make mine look like the happy version of it, but I declined. Mikey and Jake both did traditional ones, Mikey because he couldn't do any better, Jake because he didn't really feel like carving them in the first place.
Afterwards, we all got together to watch the movie "Signs". Mikey, Kayla and I all got on the couch, Mom and Dad on the love seat, and Jake sprawled himself out on the floor. Lights went off and the movie began. About so far in, I was looking at Kayla, and I noticed that Mikey had laid his head in her lap, just staring blankly at the TV. I think he was actually scared of the movie, but doing his best to hide it. It was rather funny. But a little while later (maybe 15 min), Kayla had done the same thing to me. She just right out laid her head on my lap. It was a little odd at first, but she looked so peaceful there, so I didn't fight it. Somewhere in the middle of it all, Mikey had changed his position so that he was using her ass a cushion and he fell asleep like that. We paused the movie long enough to put him to bed.
Anyway, as Kayla laid there, I put my hand on her hair and began stroking her hair. It felt very smooth. My fingers slid right through her long, blond hair. I just combed my hand through her hair for the rest of the movie. Every once in a while, she'd at me with a smile that just caused me to melt (for a lack of better description), but her eyes always wandered back to the TV. Still, those few seconds that she'd keep eye contact with me... definately something I wished wouldn't end. I felt pure love when she looked at me with those eyes. But she was playing it wise. I could also see Jake turn around every once in a while, to look at Kayla, then look at me, and then give me a somewhat sinister smile. I am not liking Jake right now, and for obvious reasons. Nothing much really happened after that. It's late enough as it is, and I seriously need to get to sleep. Sorry to ditch you guys with something so short, but like I said, nothing much really happened today.
One more thing: I just wanted to let you know that I will most likely not be posting tomorrow, only because I'm going to be really busy. I'm going to a party right after GAC's tomorrow, and it's going to run late. For the record, Kayla's coming, too.
