question for black people

a few years ago young black american men use to call each other "god" or maybe it was "guard"
it was a type of slang i guess. what i want to know is what was it slang for? and which word was it that they were calling each other. god or gaurd? or maybe it was another word?

The Nation of Islam teaches that all black men are Gods; I'm sure that's where the term comes from. The slang was probably popularized by rappers like the Wu Tang, who used the word a lot in their music.
