Why are guys so clueless sometimes?

when you ask a girl what is wrong and she says "nothing" in a low sad sounding voice. or she says "i'm fine" and doesn't even look at you. Don't just be like "oh ok". I mean come on it's written all over the place obviously there is something wrong...

I have no story behind this i just see it happen alot
