American schools

On paper and in studies you hear so much about how "America has some of the best schools in the world". Really? Why don't you go to an average high school in the United States and see what teaching and learning is taking place if any.

Answer:  Unions.  Unionized labor governs the public school system (which is supported by taxes, not tuition).  The worse such schools got, the tighter the unions circled the wagons.  The best things to do now -- since the public schools are long past saving -- is to privatize the entire system across America and let the market float out the dead wood.  Thousands of useless teachers and administrators need to be laid off permanently, to be replaced by those who are actually willing to WORK for their paychecks.
