Well, I can't see the logic of that. A lot of people respond. Sure, insults do fly, but they're good natured. The point is that people are motivated enough to respond, so that tells of a certain
level of appreciation. It only stands to reason, does it not?
As for gayness, you'd have to admit f-a-g is one of the most used word fragments on 4chan. Those who are uncomfortable with gayness would find 4chan too unpleasant to begin with, on terminology alone.
