Well I don't have much experience with this sorta thing... I definitely wouldn't tell your parents, because then they might blame themselves for allowing you to place a then-fresh sandwich into the bag, only for you to let it rot there. Then again, if you have care-free, open-minded parents, they may be able to reach into the bag, pull out the sandwich for you, and not beat you. However, if that's not possible (I'm guessing by the way you described your story, it isn't), then I'd suggest going into a private area, carrying something like tongs or even two pencils might work. Carefully poke around the bag, making sure that nobody is watching, and extract the sandwich, making sure that parts of it don't fall back into the bag. Then it's simply a matter of being able to put it into a plastic Kroger bag and throwing it into a nearby receptacle.
If you are still too afraid to even do that, you may want to consider paying a friend to pull it out for you. Then you can remove everything else and put it in the washer. Make sure to do all this before your parents get home so that they don't get suspicious.
In my humble opinion, you can't just leave the sandwich in the bag. The smell is only going to get worse and that smell will get all over your stuff. You could try to remove some of your stuff and them turn the bag over, hoping that the sandwich falls out, or if you have a doggy you could see if that doggy is willing to eat the sandwich; that way, you wouldn't even have to worry about throwing it away.
No matter what you decide to do, consider investing in a few air fresheners. My friends usually use the Pine-scented ones, but I don't think it really matters. I wouldn't suggest Vanilla-scented ones though, because it has a stronger scent and might attract attention. If the smell of the sandwich is really so bad that the smell can be smelt from the outside of the bag, you may wanna consider spraying the bag with Lysol or whatever also. It kills 99.9% of germs.
Get a plastic bag and turn it inside out. Empty the bag leaving the sandwich in there. Then, get the bag and take out the sandwich. Get some hot water and some disinfectant, and clean the inside of the bag, leave it somewhere warm to dry.
