Women who want to be men.

Man I dont really know where this thread is going but...

Im at this hospital where all the doctors and residents come together, have rounds, discus hospital politics, etc, etc... and I cant help but notice the large amount of females in this profession and how they push and push for power and status (some are even cute)..


Not to be a chauvenist (sp??) but its funny because they want to have the cold calculating logical rational mentality of a man, yet they still seek attention and approval from men by their looks...and still gossip about people to their friends.

But they can't help it. They want to be guys so bad but they just can't do it. They are women and are being controlled by hormones and genes that are inherently female...

I look at them and all I see is a battle within. On one hand they are self absorbed and power seeking because they want the status of "doctor" yet on the other hand they have to come to grips with the fact that they are women...and have the wants and needs of a woman. They try so hard to kill their feminine side but its just not working...

I still tower over them and they know in the back of their minds that they will never be me... and quite surprisingly that actually gives me power on the wards. Its like a biological ecosystem hierarchy playing itself out automatically, right within the hospital itself!! YOU CANT FIGHT WHAT YOU ARE. You just can't...

Any thoughts?
