It's because all too often the fursona is an escape from the real world.
More often than not, it's a greater escape than most. You have to remove yourself from reality quite a bit to pretend that you're a magical bipedal fur-covered dog. Who speaks.
Also, it has a reputation for being associated with kinky, lowgrade fanfiction sex. Or bad romances, which is basically the same thing.
People who retreat from the world past a certain point are, more often than not, a little creepy. There are gamers and there are gAmErS, for one thing. The latter creep me out because I know that I couldn't trust 'em if they thought no-one else could see.
So yeah - creepy people with a fascination for kinky sex and poorly-concieved romances. The furry stereotype isn't everyone's cup of tea.

In all honesty, I doubt many people know why 4chan hates furrys. I would guess that back in the day some poeple trolled furrys heavily and it became a meme. Now that so much time has past, eveyone has fogoten the reason for hateing furrys and, like so many 4chan meme, continue them in good faith.
