Little thought about multiculturalism.

I walk around my college and see all these signs preaching about how diverse and different everyone is, and that we should accept eachother based on the individual and not the group. Sure, they mean well, but have they really thought their cunning plan all the way through?

To me, the signs are screaming "LOOK HOW DIFFERENT WE ALL ARE! JUST PRETEND TO NOT NOTICE, AND IT'S ALL GOOD."

Does't that kinda defeat the purpose? Wouldn't a true pioneer of equality, when confronted on the diversity of people, get a confused look on their face and reply, "Someone here is different?"
