Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I loved this show, but I hated how weak they made vampires look as the series progressed. Is it really that easy to drive a wooden stake through someone's heart? Aren't there some bones in the way there? I can accept slayers making it look easy with their super strength, but they also had the human-strength people doing it, and vampire falling on pieces of wood/backing into them. In one episode they had a vampire lying on top of Dawn making out with her, then he poofed into ash and she was holding a little stake... What the hell? You can't put much force into a punch when you're lying flat on your back, let alone some kind of double-underhand stake swing.

>>1 Um, for a start, yes it might be hard, bu to begin with, people found it fairly difficult, the more they did it, the better they were. Plus, Giles even told Buffy when training her of the exact place you should aim for. I think in the movie, and possibly the TV series, she gets it wrong the first time, misses the heart, and this vampire just lies there with the stake into him.
Also, a lot of these vampires wree idiots, thought they were hot shit when they knew nothing about Vampirism. A lot of them had only just busted out of their graves or some shit. You notice how hard it is for Buffy to kill Spike? Because he's been around a while. Same as Angel.
But most of all, it is just TV.
You want some hardcore vampires, play the Legacy of Kain series of games. Blood Omen 1 and 2, and Soul Reaver 1 and 2. The Defiance of course.
Those are some hardass vampires. Skills grow with age, which is very important with vampires. Plus, being an arrogant fuck sometimes helps. Not always though.
