Live Action Role Play

Have you heard of "Live Action Role Playing?" It's where you role play, kind of like D&D but you do it through actual fighting with swords, usually under the assumption that one hit is one kill. I realize the losers and idiots that do this shit, but if there was no "magic system" (A loser yelling LIGHTNING BOLT) and the people playing weren't idiots, would you do a Live Action Role Play or LARP?

My vision would be 10 vs 10... men in styrafoam "full plate" armor, charging each other in phallanx formation. Am I an idiot or does this sound fun?

What? I did this for years as a kid. It's called having an imagination.
