The first thing you need to be aware of when planning your children's future is that Britain is a class system, not a meritocracy. A mediocre set of exam results from a 'posh' school is worth vastly more than an excellent set of results from a state school. Posh people get all the top jobs, and they recruit people from posh schools, whom they believe to be posh like themselves. Of course, this leads to a country led by upper-class halfwits, but that's just the way it is.
