What's the point of marriage?

I don't need to be married to have sex, right?  And I don't get any extra money for getting married, plus having to risk losing half of what I have.  So, this is a total ripoff.  Am I the only one who thinks this way?

The real point to marriage:

So you can drag on the neverending conflict between the couple, which will never end, because neither of them wants to be the one to make the move of breaking it off.
