You know, I’ve been afraid too

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-15 2:35

You know, I’ve been afraid too, you’re not alone.  Every morning, I used to open my eyes and be afraid of the world that I had to face.  It wasn’t the way I wanted it either.  I wanted that kind of purity that you found in your room; but that trapped me in my self pity, and I realized that, my caring for myself was caring for other people, and I had to go out and meet those other people.  It’s quite simple, you’ll see.

Simple but blissful more than logical.

Self pity? Who the fuck would feel sorry for themself? If you aren't succeeding at something, change strategies. If you don't know a way to succeed, ask someone who's done it well before. Alternatively, if everyone on earth says you're fucked and there's nothing you can do, well then that's that, no reason to feel bad, there's nothing you can do about it anyways.

Ask someone who's done it before.
What if you don't know anyone who'se done it before?
Hell, what if you don't know anyone. What if what you're failing at isn't that simple. What if you've failed in love, or making friends, or in finding a roof to put over your head.
There are plenty of things that people can feel self pity about. If you've never felt sorry for yourself, then you're a lucky son of a bitch, because it's not that easy for everyone else to just snap out of depression and feel fine all the time.
To be honest, if you say you've never felt sorry for yourself, or been depressed about failing in something, then you're a god damn liar.

I've done stupid things, but (thankfully) they weren't serious, so big deal. Move on, learn from it, become smarter and do better next time. Being a loser means not improving your situation and not even trying to. Everything in this world has been done before, so somebody will know how, you just gotta get up and look for the right answer.

You can't feel sorry for yourself if you're doing everything you can about it. Hence why emos are failures, they talk about their failure and stop trying to fix it.
