last winter (2006), a girl i went to college with seemed to like me. she touched my shoulder when she spoke to me. or slapped my arm when something caught her attention. she invited me to go to bar to drink. after only 4 days of knowing her. she liked me. perhaps as a man, perhaps just as a college buddy - to this very day, i still don't know which. why? read on.
because i was confused: why does she touch me, that's what i thought on the day she touched my arm for the first time? i thought about it the whole evening. does she want something from me? or is she just someone who can easily touch people, because she is a direct and outgoing person? what are her intentions? are there intentions at all?
i thought about it. and then began to avoid her. yes you heard that right i began to avoid her. i avoided eye contact. i avoided her in the morning, during lunch. when she happened to walk past me, i'd just stare in front of me as if nothing, no one just passed; i treated her like air.
