Simple. Any male who isn't "manly" whether intentionally or not will be considered a loser. And people who don't strive very hard to prove themselves and succeed (or at least show off) often end up as failures and give in when something happens to them. I mean, think of women; what "man" would take it up the ass or let someone order them around? "Get back in the kitchen!"
So women and gay men are often the same--submissive, and people who don't consider social acceptance to be an issue are content to give in and fail at life. Then they just go for the easier route, which is to become gay and take it up the ass.
In other words, androgenous people usually have no interest in trying very hard in life and so are associated with losers, emos, gays and failures.
