I hate Anime Elitists! They are major hypocrites. When Dragon Ball Z wasn't that well known in the U.S., they would watch it on their poorly made VHS copies; it was their bible and reason for living. As soon as it became popular, you try to have a conversation about DBZ with this assclowns and they get all offensive, saying crap like "Dragon Ball Z isn't a real anime!" when I know for a fact they used to watch it.
So in short, they watch a lesser known (to the world outside of Japan) anime series, sing it's praises, but when it starts to get popular in their country, they knock it, then move onto some other obscure series, only to repeat the process once again when that obscure series becomes popular.
I don't even know series these ass masters watch these days because I haven't talked to any of these fools since high school and I've made sure to steer clear of them at my college, but I would imagine they became absolutely livid when cartoon network started airing episodes of Naruto and One Piece.

Damn straight. I'm a fan of anime and it pisses me off to know end. I like DBZ, One Piece and Naruto, I don't give a shit that they're mainstream now. Who gives a fuck? I enjoy watching them, so I'm fucking going to. That doesn't mean that I'm someone who thinks they're the only type of anime around. I also enjoy really obscure animes too.

I wouldn't put down someone for talking about DBZ or whatever other old show, but hey, I was done watching them years ago and am not interested anymore.

Wrong, I still respect Dragonball Z, in fact, I'd place among the best shounen.
They don't make shows like those anymore :'(

oh god yes i miss them dragging out goku charging up an energy ball for 3 whole episodes! that's pure quality right there.
I never liked dragonball from the start, but i like stuff like hellsing and gungrave and monster
I used to watch DBZ and Sailor moon when I was super younger. I started watching anime when I was 2 with Kimba. I prefer watching anime straight out of Japan before the gay ass companies here in the US get their hands on it and butcher it, and even before it can get a license agreement. I'll do a cosplay of a character of someone from a really obscure anime, and no one notices because I'm not cosplaying a Naruto or FF character. but years later after horrible dubbing, butchering, and products, everyone will be cosplaying the same freakin' character. I don't down people for following whats popular, but it's just not for me.

I hate what they've done with Prince of Tennis... It's not butchered per se, but the voice actors... lol. They all sound like the same dude. The characters have lost all their uniqueness.

I think Night Shift Nurses is the highest quality anime. The plot is extremely complex and intriguing, the character development is very realistic and it provides a great intellectual stimulus too.
1. Buy random anime from japanese Animation company
2. Give all the character bad voice actors
3. Take out all the blood and other cool stuff
4. ?????
5. PROFIT!!!

If you like funny nurse anime, I suggest watching Nanase Ren (δΈη¬ζ).
