a thought

most vegetarians/vegans base their objection to animal products on the premise that animals and humans are equal. so my question is: is it just as morally justifiable to be a meat-eater who is pro-cannibalism as it is to be a vegetarian/vegan? you then would still be assuming that all beings are equal, but rather than saying all beings are equal and therefore i shouldn't eat animals, you say all beings are equal and therefore cannibalism should be no more morally reprehensible than eating animals.

thoughts?
