How often is normal? To what extent?

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-15 19:09

No, not fapping.  I'm talking about how often siblings get in fights.  Real fights.  Where one of them ends up crying or with a bruise, maybe some real punches get thrown.  How often is considered normal, and to what extent?  Bonus points if you can provide a study or source or something.

I'm asking because my mother is a fucking psycho.  I'm 19, moving out after next semester.  I have a younger brother and a younger sister.  I've gotten into a grand total of three incidents involving more than shoving, two of which retardedly got the cops involved.  (One because I slapped my mother after she hit me hard enough to make my ears ring, the other when roughhousing got out of control and I hit my sister too hard after she made me bleed with her nails- not hard by guy standards, but she's a girl, and has always been a lemon.  In both cases, the cops told my mother she was over reacting.  If you want details, I had typed up 1600 words describing the incidents, but decided to spare you the boredom, but if you want it just ask)  Now whenever I get a bit frustrated, she over reacts, and tells me to get out of her house before I hurt someone.  Even calling me a "monster" this evening.  Ouch.  After she calms down, I'm going to try talking to her about it.  (I was cleaning the kitchen this evening, tripped over the dishwasher spilling silverware all over the place including a knife that hit my foot, I yet out a loud "FUCK" and she goes batshit insane and acts like I'm going to go postal on the family.  That just hurts my... I don't know, my pride or something.  What kind of mother calls her son a monster?)

It's easier when you become a loner

Happens to me every single time I see my siblings. Fortunately, we don't live together anymore, so it doesn't happen too often. But yes, it's normal and all too common.

just stay in your room, on the internets. learn to stop reacting to what other humans say to you.

I am good at solving people's problems, seriously, I have given some people very simple advice that is so fundamental and elegant in nature that I often hear them thanking me and I'm like "well wasn't it obvious". The thing is I haven't slept for a while and I'm a little hot and botherred. I'm going to sleep lol.
