Shave or Wax?

I'm getting hair on my lip.  I am male.  Should I shave or wax?  I have zero interest in moustaches or beards or any facial hair.  If I could afford laser hair removal, I would do it.

So is waxing a better option, for the cleaner look?  How long will it take before hair grows back if I wax?
