Why people refuse to believe God exist

There are alot of Christian topic being formed all around but no one has yet said their reasons why they don't believe in God.

Is it just because you can't see God that you feel he don't exist, or because you feel nothing should be greater than humans, or you don't just want to believe God exist?

is because of the fact that life would be meaning-less if we didnt
believe that there is some high power to tell us our life was worthy of living. society would crumble if we proved there is no god. everything would be pointless, why achive when there is nothing at the end? would you try so hard knowing that in the end the lights go out and you cease to exist? think about it. it is not death that scares us it is the thought of no longer existing on any plain...
