I just figured out that THE 2channel, not 2chan, was soley a BBS, not imageboard. Call me slow, but it was confusing for a time >_>

So, why are the 4chan BBS's completely dead compared to all the imageboards?

cause people outside of asia don't like web forums like this, but we do like porn.

seriously though, we already have a ton of english language message boards, and irc channels.  a web site that is just another text-only message board isn't going to catch on as well.
