Showing One's Face

If an acquaintance of yours who you've never met face-to-face before asked you to show them what you look like, would you show them, even if you're not ugly by anyone's standards?

I think I may have camera phobia. I've never liked having my picture taken, and I always look bad in pictures and on camera. Every time someone asks me to show them what I look like, or get me on webcam, I hesitate or try to change the subject, or I lie to them and say, "I have to go now." I don't look gross or like a zombie, or anything, I'm probably fairly average-looking, so I don't know why I get like this. But someone asking me, "Can you take a picture of yourself and show me?" is like asking an arachnophobic to hold a tarantula.
