background: my girlfriend is pretty nuts and in our year+ relationship has cheated on me and ive had to call the cops on her because she wouldnt let me walk away from a fight that was becoming physical or leave herself. somehow im still with her. my only excuse is this is my first real relationship and i started naively and ignored serious red flags and recently have put off breaking up just to avoid the trouble of it temporarily
so today my gf threw a fit when i was trying to get her out of the house(its a sunday night. my grades are in trouble 2 years into a 4 yr degree and i made a lot of resolutions including not having her over schoolnights) and the fight escalated to where she was refusing a ride to her moms house or the train or her friends house. i said id call the cops if she didnt leave, but she still wouldnt. i called once and hung up and told them i hit the wrong speed dial when they called back but she still wouldnt leave (ive used that "wrong speed dial" excuse before because of her, too). so i called again and they came and carted her off while telling her things were over and if she came back on campus where i live shed be arrested. she called me repeatedly from the train station they dropped her off at (technically they should have arrested her since i never lifted the bar from her coming around last time, but out of pity or kindness i made it seem nice when the cops showed up and they just kicked her out without arresting her) before going downtown. her friend that she had planned on meeting before deciding to squat in my apartment had gone off partying without her. she called me a few more times, all the while obviously refusing to do the obvious right thing and take the train as near to her parents as she could then call them. now i just checked my voicemail and shes left some tearful message about how she went to smoke behind a church and a guy demanded her purse and then took it and she didnt know what to do.
shes probably lying, and if she isnt, shes an idiot for not taking the ride home earlier, for not letting me break up with her the times ive tried, for going to smoke behind a building in shitty downtown dallas and being so naive, and for not calling her parents or the cops instead of the guy that just gave the authorities the go-ahead to arrest her if she ever set foot where he lives again.
just felt like i had to vent. noone talks to me on aim anymore ;_;
this girl narrowly dodged an arrest today but i just know shell come back again for round 2 and ultimately will have to get arrested further wearing away at her relationship with her mom and stepdad (her dads a deadbeat).
