FUCK Israel!

Killing innocent civilians is NOT an act of self-defense. Destroying a sovereign nation is NOT a measured response.

I wish I could find the article, but I was reading the oher day that the a majority of the Palestinians were on the brink of recognising Israel's right to exist, which would have severely undermined Hezbollah's and Hamas' objectives and their general hold on power in the region, so they kicked off this latest round of bombings.

However, Israel's response has been grossly inappropriate - targeting specific buildings will not hamper Hezbollah - they launch attacks from mobile stations on open ground, not from buildings. If one of those rockets was launched out a window, everyone in the room would be incinerated. So the entire Israeli response is totally inappropriate, and only really harming Lebanese civilians.

Add to this the fact that Israeli intelligence quite frequently phones ahead to warn people a missile will hit their home within the hour, and I see absolutely no point in the air campaign.

So yeah, both sides suck, Hezbollah started it, but Israel are way out of line too. The entire situation is fucked.
