My girlfriends little cousin has two overweight parents, she is almost 3 years old, probably twice teh size of a normal 3 year old and lives on a steady diet of kraft dinner and hot dogs, ice cream and cookies and other sweets.
since this is all she has eaten, its all she wants to eat. If she doesnt get her way and eat what she wants to eat, she throws a fit...... and her parents pay her off with candy
if you cant fuckin stand up to a 3 year old, you shouldnt be procreating

No shit sherlock, and there's a whole bunch of parents like that out there. When I was little my parents would fuck me up (even my mom) if I tried to pull something uncool. I just can't feel bad for these kids when they grow up having whatever they want and when they're supposed to do shit by themselves they're hit hard with "real life".

I help babysit my cousins every now and then. If they dont want to eat what I make them (healthy foods)...then they can starve for all I care. Cool part about it, is that I cant loose.

If I'm ever blessed with a child, I pray that I'll be a better parent than today's parents.
We'll be homeschooling.
They won't get sugar or caffeine except on rare occasions, and I think I'll skip the caffeine altogether.
They will be disciplined. I will NEVER give them what they want after they throw a fit. As a result, they won't throw fits.

I dont know about homeschooling... how proficient can a parent be in all subjects as opposed to different teachers for each subject? In my opinion, if parents want to homeschool they should damn well be required to at least have teaching credentials and a college education.

My cousins are like that.. they do the "eat everything on your plate thing" So my aunt is a 400 lb heifer, my uncle is really fit but doesn't care, and the two kids are fatasses. My 8 year old cousin weighs 140 lbs. Thats not right. Thats more than I weighed when I was 15!
A note on the homeschooling, yes, homeschooled kids are very strange. They're also more likely to have issues when they are older because they are in seclusion all the time, and have no interaction with other children, thus don't know how to properly communicate with peers. Homeschooled children are much more likely than real-school kids to have issues and suicides as adults.
