Okay, so this guy is kinda shy when it comes to girls. He's only ever had one girlfriend, and she dumped him after about a month. He's a very open person and has a lot of friends, but he isn't the kind to go through girlfriends very quickly. Lately I've been hanging out with him a lot, and we're pretty good friends I guess you could say.

The problem is that I am even shyer than he is, never had a boyfriend and am a little angsty teen bith (omg!blahblah get over it). I don't know how to tell if he likes me. Even if he hinted at me I probably managed to miss that because that's just how dumb I am.

Hell, to prove how dumb and helpless I am just see now how I am going to 4-channers for advice. Well, seeing as how my closest friends are 4-channers I guess it's really just a bigger variety of what I'd get from them. Whatever.

Anyways, any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. The standard "just tell him how you fell" would not be, considering I have heard this so much, but what the hell. Say what you want, I'm open to criticism and enlightement.

That seriously is the dumbest misconception ever. Some just accepted that they HAVE to chase, so they do it willfully. Most of us don't like the hassle, though.

But! To the OP, I recommend some fine fruits spiked with a bit of alcohol. You don't notice it in very sweet fruits, and it helps to loosen up a bit. Just a thought.

Though, for a no-alcohol alternative, simply invite him over to you. For example, cook, have dinner, then watch a movie together and get really close to him.
