Should women be allowed to vote?

I believe women should not be allowed to vote in the United States. If there was ever a draft, women would not be called upon for service. THUS, women do not have to fight and die for their rights and their country. So, how is it fair they can vote?

Clearly they should not worry about political issues, they should worry about what color rug goes best with the living room. They should worry about getting the kids to school on time. They should worry about what time dinner should be ready for.

America was once a happy place, a place where women knew their role and life was good. I say its time to return to our glory days.

I hate to break it to you, but THERE IS NO DRAFT, and if the assholes in congress wanted to create one they would need to rewrite a long list of laws.

Aside from the political suicide that a draft entails in today's political climate, they would have to change the system to include women as well.

      Saying women shouldn't be able to vote because the don't get drafted is a pointless and invalid argument.  Not because it isn't true that they can't get drafted, but because changing that fact wouldn't shut you up.  If we started drafting women you would just bitch that they shouldn't vote and we shouldn't draft them.

     Having women register for the draft is perfectly accepable.  I mean even if you don't think that they should be drafted, you can still have them register and make it apear as if they could be.  And there is no proof that women are useless in battle, by all accounts they are of just as much value as men.

       Male Citizens are all registered for the draft though.  Don't you think it would be fair if both sexes had to register, I mean that would at least contribute to the illusion of the same responsibilities.  And if as you say the draft won't come up, than the issue of actually drafting them will never come up either.  So it is really a no loss situation.  And if the Draft does come up you can just program the computer to ignore female draftees if that is what is decided then.
       Also the process for getting a new draft is actually fairly simple, but you are correct that it is unnecessary and political suicide.  I personally believe that everyone should be required to serve in order to become a citizen, and a citizen in order to vote.  That should shut everyone up.  Or at least the citizens which are the ones that matter.

       The point that women are needed at home to procrate durring and after the war, is actually valid.  The substantial loss of the male population doesn't decrease the birth rate, Where as a substantial loss of the female population does.  Therefore females are of more value and not expendable in wartime as men are.
