male 4channers, i require your counsel.
i know a guy and we've hung out a couple of times, with a mutual friend, AND danced together once (but not in a dirty way lorfl). now.. this friend has told me that the guy is interested in me and wants to do something together again but he hasn't asked for any contact details - phone number, email, handle. and the times when we were around each other we did talk but rather superficially.

i don't understand- if you are interested in someone why wouldn't you call them up or at least talk online? i suppose some people might be too shy to actively do something, but still that's like saying 'i like you and enjoy your company but don't need to talk to you or know what kind of person you are'. i am baffled.

I think there's the misunderstanding.  I'm not saying he's superficial or anything... but when a guy's interested in you, it means he'd like to have sex, and thinks he's got a shot.

"I would like to have sex with you but don't need to talk to you or know what kind of person you are."

That's more like it.  It's not a bad thing, it's just how we work.  We don't seriously want to talk on the phone.  We don't want to talk online, that's just a waste of time and not real human interaction.

Still, you can pretty much force him to get to know you by calling him.
