actally i think you can clone a male to get females with very little gene manipulation. it simply requires eliminating a y chromosome and putting an x in its place. of course there would be a lot of mistakes and you would likely get people with 3 chromosomes more often, but wtf, its for advancment.

no a x chromosome is an x chromosome. it's completly random which one you get from your mother and you always get whichever one your father has. a more interesting question though. if you take sperm and iradiate it to kill the DNA can you introduce dna taken from a females egg, then introduce that sperm to a female to create a child with only 2 women as as biological parents? or even the same woman so the same person is both the mother and father of the child? and what would that kid look like?

You forget that humans have 27 pairs of chromosomes... the X and the Y chromosome are just one of them.
If you use the same DNA for the egg and the sperm too, basically that's cloning, with the exception that if the chromosomes are paired, that's likely to cause genetical diseases in the offspring.
