DRIVING ROFL

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-09 15:55

Interesting thing happened to me today, /b/. While trying to get out of the school parking lot (which is hard and frustrating consider there is only one road out of it and it has a huge speed bump in front of it). I did what I usually do and assert myself into the line out of school (which usually means when the cars move forward, I squeeze myself into the space left by the other car. It's usually a small space.) Most people are considerate enough to let me take the place.

Not today though.

Some guy in a large truck kept trying to close me off, which by the time I got up there. either meant letting me have the space in front of him or a car crash. So, he stops abruptly, gets out of his car, approaches my car (which is a beat up Ford Tempo) kicks it, attempts to open my locked door, and hits the window with an open palm and says "IF YOU EVER CUT ME OFF AGAIN." I just grinned and he stormed off back to his truck.

I pondered this for a while. The guy has a nice, shiny, huge truck, a good looking girlfriend (sitting shotgun in his truck), and looks like he's doing pretty well for himself. I have no one, I'm ashamed of myself daily, and a car that I bought for $1,000 that I wouldn't care if somebody jumped on. I get cut off abruptly rather frequently by other people. He looks like he has a lot more to be happy for than I do.

So why is it that it's him that's getting so hot-headed about things like that, and not me?

i think a lot of being hot headed has to do with genetics and stuff.

I'll tell you a cool story that happened to me though.

I was driving home from work one day, and I pulled in front of this bus, causing him to have to slow down on the highway to make room for me.  I'll admit it was kind of a bad thing to do... but whatever.

so I'm now in the left lane on a two lane highway.  (this story takes place in america, by the way).  the bus driver then passes me on the right, gets in the left lane in front of me, and puts on his breaks.  I have to slam on my breaks to avoid hitting him.  he then immedietly gets back in the right lane and takes the next exit.

when I saw him going back into the right lane, I realized that he had to go out of his way to get in the left lane and break, just to screw me over.  (practically getting into an accident himself, and practically missing his exit.)

as he is pulling off the highway, I glance over at the bus driver's window, and see a puerto rican guy, looking me straight back in the eye, with the look that just says, "yeah? now what?"

I wasn't sure what to think :/
